DVD-Audio Solo Standard is a DVD authoring tool that helps you create DVD-audio discs using any combination of your favorite WAV, FLAC, MP3, or AIF audio files (among others), with or without still pictures.

The resulting DVDs offer you high-quality 5.1 surround sound up to 96 kHz, and the program supports both DVD5 and DVD9 recordable discs.

With this application you can also import audio files from standard audio CDs or audio DVDs, provided they are not protected. Another possible source for your audio tracks is the program’s built-in recording engine, which allows you to create your own live recordings using an external microphone, the line-in port, or your system’s sound card.

The quality of the output audio is probably the program’s main asset. You can change your compressed audio files (ranging from lossless FLAC to lossy MP3) into uncompressed PCM, either in stereo mode or in 5.1 surround sound.

It is important to mention that, as it also happens with other Cirlinca products, DVD-Audio Solo comes with some basic accessibility features that allow blind and visually impaired persons to make use of this tool. The features supported are the use of Microsoft’s TTS (text-to-speech) voices for status and progress messages, and the option to enlarge some of the fonts for an easier selection of the audio files.

Pros

  • Attractive interface design with clear tabs and options
  • Includes basic accessibility features - TTS and big fonts
  • High quality audio surround sound

Cons

We have older vehicles that came from the factory with multichannel audio playback capability. Therefore, we would love to convert our physical multichannel audio media into DVD-As that we can listen to while on the road. Does anyone have any advice on how this can be done? Thank you.

Me again, I guess the program was taken off the net because of what it does. I have more than 5K DVd recorded from FLAC 24/96. The sound is great. But, the program just disappeared from the net. I think it was outlawed for what it does. I took some old CDs and blasted them with this program. O well, thanks for all the great times.

OK, I am the same person that gave this program 5 stars. It so happens that the program worked for me for a long time. BUT, now, it's a scam. Don't lose your time downloading it. On the other hand, the music DVD that I record is awesome. BUT, looks like something happen, the program just disappeared from the net.
